Background
I MARINE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE (I MEF) is the largest MEF across the USMC forces. I MEF is located across 4 bases on the west coast and is home to 53,000 Marines and Sailors.

The Problem
I MEF is responsible for collecting, reporting and acting upon behavioral health data of Marines and their families. This data consists of count and descriptive cases of sexual assault and harassment, EOA complaints, child and domestic violence cases, suicide related behaviors, and alcohol & drug abuse cases. This data is received from and reported out across four bases to affiliated organizations on bases (Marine and Family Programs, Community Counseling Center, etc), division level analysts, behavioral health subject matter experts embedded within the units, unit commands, USMC headquarters & at times to larger structures such as the US Senate.
I MEF lacked the adequate data modeling tool and collection processes to accurately capture and relay data sets across numerous stakeholders in a timely, systematic & automated manner.
The Solution
Migrated organizational data onto a cloud based data management tool to allow for automation, timely access to data & access to all data points in one places. Through power query and Power BI sorting and analytics, organizational stakeholders, SME's and analysts could input and access real time data. Each stakeholder organization and individual was provided with their own raw data sets & pre-populated analytics displays.
